Our neutral boho bedroom

We moved, again! Same apartment complex, different unit. It was rather annoying having to move since my husband is no longer active duty and we no longer have the luxury of getting moved for free by the government. So since my husband had to work I was the one who did most of the moving and man was it a pain. We got a little behind with homeschool, I fell a few times which honestly felt like I broke my knees (why does falling feel 100 times worse when your older?) We've been in our new unit for almost two months, we're still in 1000 sq ft but the plus side is the little backyard we have for the kids to play.

One of the things I love about living here is how small and cozy our home can be. My husband hates it but I love it. A small space is all we can afford right now living in Southern California anyway so I try to make the best of it. Which of course means that when it comes to decorating I have to shop smart and stay on a budget but that's ok because it only means thirft store shopping. Not only is it great for the environment it's also great for my husbands pockets. A lot of what I used to decorate our bedroom was second hand, things I got on sale, a few DIY. I'm still not done decorating but I love how the space looks so far.

When it comes to decorating my husband gives me FULL control of everything.I gotta give it up to him for always helping me with my weird requests. He's even had to sacrifice his beloved dresser (which is actually falling apart) it's hiding in the closet which is a big inconvenience but he's handling it like a champ. I'm still working on adding a bit of storage for me so come back and see what I do for a little bit of extra storage.

Here's a list and links to some of the things I have purchased. The baskets and dresser were all thrifted.
string lights (i got these on sale plus used a 20% off coupon on sale items)
comforter (old target)
buddah- ross
basket-seasonal ikea
plant shelf was a DIY

Putting Myself First with A Unique Wooden Watch this Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is coming up! Cue the red and pink heart balloons! Valentine's Day is all about your significant other but it can be about yourself too. Often times we stress out about what sort of gifts we should get our loved ones or which restaurant we should make reservations to which is nice, but sometimes we forget to show ourselves love. I for one am a stay at home mom and have a list of things I do each day, home school, tidy the house, cook dinner, drink cold coffee, the list goes on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what I do. It's my favorite to spend time with my children, but I do love some mommy time. It's okay not to buy your kids that cute sweatshirt you see and spoil yourself instead. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. Even if that means shopping online while it's nap time.

I was recently given the opportunity to receive a  Jord Wood Watch.  They make unique minimalist watches that can be worn with every outfit. I chose the Frankie Series Koa and Ash and it is absolutely beautiful. I love how versatile it is and it is also unisex. Although I will definitely not be sharing this with my husband ;) One of the things I love about these cool watches is that they are are ethical, eco-friendly handcrafted from raw material which is a HUGE factor for me. They also offer engraving which would be perfect for a little motivating message to give yourself every time you put this cool watch on.
I'm a sucker for good packaging, so when my watch arrived I was super excited to see that it came in a super cute wooden box.
On the bottom was a little drawer to hold extra watch links and cleaner.
See how perfectly packaged it is? All you have to do is add a bow if you get on for your someone special.

Are you in love with these watches yet? Because I am giving one lucky winner a $100 towards your very own Jord watch. Even if you don't win all of my readers will get 10% off their purchase!
