Through the power of social media I've been able to find some pretty amazing places here in San Diego. Places I never knew existed or were even possible to exist here. When people talk about San Diego the only thing that comes to mind is the city. But this county has a lot more to offer then the famous Gaslamp District. If you're looking to getaway from the busy city life and experience the "country" side of San Diego then this is place to visit. I stumbled upon this place through a hashtag on instagram. That's how I find a lot of places to explore. I do a little bit of research, make sure it's kid friendly and we plan accordingly.
On this day we packed a small picnic. Ramona is inland from where I live so it gets a bit hotter than what we are used to. We made sure we had plenty of water and sunscreen and we made our way there. We had no idea what to expect so we just walked and followed the trail and we stumbled upon a cute little pond. Next to the trees was a picnic table so it was the perfect spot for our lunch. The kids had lots of fun climbing rocks, trees and "skipping" rocks in the pond. On our way back we spotted a herd of cows and the kids were fascinated. Do be careful this is home for rattlesnakes to stay vigilant.

We've been keeping super busy this summer. A few weeks ago my husband left for Army boot camp and my oldest was off to college for five weeks for a summer program. So for five weeks it was just me and the littles. There have been lots of beach days and picnics. We've been finding lots of new places and the kids have been absolutely having a blast. I'm working on a post listing our favorite outdoor places to visit with kids so keep an eye out for that. As for our nature walk today we went to Mission Trails Regional Park. It's close to our home and the trails are very easy for kids.  I wanted the kids to collect a few things from our walk so before heading to the trails we headed to the dollar tree. I found the perfect plastic containers with the right amount of compartments to be filled. Sophia was intrigued, she collected so many great things, while Aiden on the other hand filled his with rocks lol!
Mission Trails has a lot of history. You will find history of the Kumeyaay Indians who lived in what is now known as Mission Trails Regional Park over 2000 years ago. There are a few informational
posters with a little bit of their history. The kids were in awe knowing that natives used to live right where they were playing. This park is a very popular area and we usually go during the week. If you come with your kids do be careful, we encountered our first rattlesnake while hiking so be sure you're aware of your surroundings and always keep an extra eye out on your littles.

As if I didn't already have enough on my plate I decided to start vlogging! I'm still going to be blogging but I thought it would be fun to also start a channel and share my thrifting hauls and family adventures! Here's my little intro video, hope you all subscribe! xo

Hello everyone and happy Thursday! I'm back with another post of what I wore, thirft store style. Pretty much the only style because that's the only place I shop at now a days. So I thought i'd make this a weekly thing as well as a kids edition and even a home edition since everything in my home is all thrifted. So lately I've been obsessing with vintage/90s style. I was born in the 80s but grew up in the 90s so really this is a piece of cake. I'm just sorta tired of trying to fit in with what's available now . Half the stuff that is my "size" is super tiny, short and crop and I just can't pull it of. I want to be able to feel comfortable so i'm doing just that. Plus the 90s are totally trending so I guess I'll fit in with the young kids! Ha.
T-Shirt $1.50 (I remember my mom having the exact  one)
Jeans $3.99 (from the mens section, i love how relaxed they fit)
Shoes $10 (purchased at a store named EVERYTHING $5, except for shoes haha)
Purse $4.99

Sophie turns 5

My happy little rainbow baby turned 5 years old a couple of months ago! She wanted a special video like her little brother so we fulfilled her wishes and spent the evening at the beach by the beautiful cliffs. This little soul is so precious and we are truly blessed to have her in our lives.
