strawberry water

Summer is officially here. That means hot humid days for us. One of the things I really dislike about New Jersey is how humid it gets. So to keep cool I recently made some strawberry water that my mom always used to make and the girls loved it.

what you need:
15 strawberries (washed and leaves cut off)
5 cups of water
1/2 cup of sugar

blend the strawberries along with 2 cups of water and the sugar.
then add it to the rest of the iced water and mix.
simple and delicious.

why i have been m.i.a

A lot of you are probably wondering why I hardly post anymore. Well the reason is we're EXPECTING. And I have been sooo tired especially with a very active one year old running around. This came as a total surprise for us. We weren't planning on another baby until mid next year, but it happened a lot sooner and we couldn't be happier. I'm definitely crossing my fingers for a boy. But either way, we'll be happy with a healthy baby no matter what the sex is.

weekend life

Summer is officially here! Ok, maybe not for a few more weeks but it sure does feel like it. We've been having some EXTREMELY hot weather lately. A/C is literally on all day. And as much as I want to stay inside nice and cool I have to take Sophia out to entertainer her.  This past weekend we went to the beach, and of course as soon as we got there the wind picked up and it was chilly. We did stay for an hour or so but little missy wanted nothing to do with the ocean. I guess you can say it was her first time seeing the ocean and sorta understanding what it is. The first time I took her she was three months and no idea what her little feet were submerged in. But hopefully she'll come around and enjoy it as much as we do.
